Use electrical controls expertise to troubleshoot, improve, and safeguard manufacturing systems in Cambridge. This full time CGT role includes plant and office work.

Reporting to the Director, Engineering & Maintenance, the Senior Controls Engineer provides technical support for PLC-based hardware and software. The role uses electronic theories and principles to solve problems, improve plant processes, and increase productivity. It also includes mentoring engineering colleagues and representing CGT externally.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support operations, maintenance, and engineering teams technically
- Troubleshoot control problems using electronic theories and principles
- Program PLC, HMI, VFD, and safety PLC systems
- Keep control-system documentation current after modifications




- Guide and mentor other engineering team members

Requirements:

- Post-secondary electrical or controls engineering education
- P. Eng designation and ten years’ relevant experience
- AutoCAD Electrical and industrial networking proficiency
- Knowledge of SCADA, transformers, substations, and single-line diagrams
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally with a valid passport
