Support environmental projects through GIS solutions, spatial analysis, and cartographic production with Stantec in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
As a Geospatial Specialist, you will identify client needs and recommend geospatial technologies supporting business objectives. You will collaborate with GIS specialists, data services professionals, and multidisciplinary teams across Stantec. The full time position includes technical support, project coordination, client communication, and delivery of accurate geospatial outputs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify client needs and recommend geospatial solutions
- Support mapping applications, analysis, and map production
- Communicate project requirements, progress, and technical concerns
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Stantec
- Follow health, safety, security, and environmental requirements
Requirements:
- Experience delivering GIS solutions for multidisciplinary projects
- Strong cartographic and data-visualization capabilities
- Ability to organize priorities under general supervision
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS or related field
