Deliver high-voltage substation engineering with WSP, supporting utility and renewable energy projects from concept through commissioning across Canada.

As an Intermediate Substation Engineer, you will work within WSP’s Power subsector and multidisciplinary project teams. Your responsibilities span physical layouts, engineering calculations, design packages, reports, and technical support. Projects may include brownfield and greenfield substations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop substation physical, grounding, and equipment layouts
- Prepare one-line diagrams and general arrangements
- Perform AC station service and battery sizing calculations
- Support technical specifications, reports, and construction packages
- Provide technical support during testing and commissioning

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Qualified Engineer designation or Canadian registration eligibility
- Five to ten years of substation design experience
- Experience serving multiple concurrent substation projects
- Willingness to travel occasionally to facilities or project sites
