This Certified Electrician works across mobile and stationary equipment or facilities within a coal mining workplace. The schedule follows seven days on and seven days off, with 12-hour day or evening shifts. The work includes electrical and electronic systems, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with employees, contractors, and senior mining personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

- Read schematics and determine industrial equipment installation layouts
- Repair and install fiber-optic, coaxial, and electrical assemblies
- Test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, and regulators




- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
- Maintain records for preventive maintenance programs

Requirements:

- Journeyman Industrial Electrician certificate or Alberta equivalency
- Minimum one year of applicable industrial experience
- Extensive surface mining experience preferred
- Ability to work around noise, hazards, fumes, and chemicals
- Required personal protective equipment and medical testing compliance
