Develop manufacturing test automation for Lumentum’s photonics systems, integrating optical instruments, motion control, cameras, and software.

This engineer owns projects from specifications through deployment in a hardware environment. The work includes test automation, process automation, machine vision, measurement, and analytics. You will collaborate with design, process, manufacturing, and production teams while working directly with equipment in the lab and on the manufacturing floor.

Requirements

Five or more years of hardware-workplace engineering experience

Degree in engineering physics, electrical engineering, or similar

Programming strength and comfort with the primary technology stack

Ability to deliver projects with minimal direction

Practical understanding of production uptime and repeatability
