We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional support to both patients and healthcare professionals. This position requires strong administrative skills, familiarity with medical terminology, and the ability to manage front desk responsibilities efficiently.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner at the front desk.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations using electronic medical records system ACCURO
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
- Maintain organized patient files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information regarding office policies and procedures.
- Support healthcare providers by taking patients to examination rooms
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with ACCURO electronic medical records system
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and administrative procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and telephones.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification as a Medical Office Assistant
