Build conservation research and analysis supporting Ontario’s vulnerable species from Peterborough with the Ministry of the Workplace, Conservation and Parks.

As an Assistant SAR Recovery Biologist, you will support the Species at Risk Branch within the Conservation and Parks Division. The role focuses on applying science to species protection, conservation planning, guidance, and policy recommendations. You will also support stakeholder relationships, advise staff, and contribute to implementation activities across ministry species at risk programs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Apply ecological science to species protection analysis
- Participate in guidance development for species at risk
- Contribute to conservation planning projects and products




- Support staff across ministry species at risk programs
- Provide consultation and implementation support

Requirements:

- Knowledge of biological and ecological science applications
- Knowledge of Ontario species at risk habitats
- Knowledge of government objectives and programs
- Writing, presenting, advising, informing, and consultation skills
- Stakeholder, project management, and organizational experience
