Direct accurate municipal financial reporting for the City of Maple Ridge using PSAS, internal controls, and strong accounting expertise. This regular full time position reports to the Director of Finance.

As Deputy Director of Finance, you will lead annual financial statements, statutory reporting, accounting records, payroll operations, and external audit coordination. You will provide technical analysis and advice to departments, senior management, Council, and committees. The position also supports corporate financial planning, policy development, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities: Lead timely, compliant internal and external financial reporting

Coordinate annual financial statements and external audit processes

Maintain accounting records and strengthen financial controls





Provide technical analysis and financial recommendations

Support corporate planning and financial policy development

Requirements: Professional financial designation, CA or CPA

Seven years progressively responsible accounting experience

Experience preparing financial statements and applying PSAS

Strong knowledge of municipal legislation and reporting

Excellent analytical, communication, and project-management skills

Bring financial reporting, PSAS, audit coordination, and analytical leadership to the City of Maple Ridge Finance department.
