Role Description The Financial Data Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure that support financial reporting, analytics, and decision-making. This role involves developing and optimizing ETL processes to collect, cleanse, and transform data from multiple financial systems into centralized data warehouses.

The Financial Data

Engineer will work closely with finance, analytics, and engineering teams to define data models, ensure data accuracy, and enable self-service data access for stakeholders. Daily tasks include implementing data quality checks, monitoring data workflows, troubleshooting data-related issues,



and contributing to improvements in data architecture and performance. The role also includes documenting data processes, adhering to security and compliance standards, and supporting current financial analytics initiatives.

Qualifications

- Strong data engineering skills, including experience with Data Engineering and building scalable data pipelines.
- Proficiency in Data Modeling and designing structured datasets for financial reporting and analytics.
- Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools, focused on financial data integration.
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and implementation for organizing and storing large financial datasets.
- Ability to perform Data Analytics to support financial insights, performance metrics, and trend analysis.
- Experience with SQL and one or more programming languages commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala).
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data stack tools.
- Understanding of financial systems, accounting concepts, or fintech environments is strongly beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
