Work onsite in Calgary supporting Rogers national IP and MPLS environments through network monitoring, fault management, and technical escalation.
Rogers is hiring a NOC Specialist for its Core-Data Network Operations team. This position combines operational support with network performance analysis and service assurance. You will collaborate with Network Engineering, Architecture, vendors, carriers, and technical teams to maintain reliable core environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain network availability through incidents and planned maintenance
- Support IP networks, MPLS infrastructure, and compute environments
- Optimize network performance and operational reliability proactively
- Develop and communicate Network Operations standards
- Support launches and provide pre-sales technical advisory
Requirements:
- Degree in telecommunications, data communications, or networking
- CCNA or CCNP Routing and Switching certification
- Two years of IP Network Engineering or Operations experience
- Knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, and Alcatel platforms
- Python, scripting, automation, and API integration considered assets
