The Bonnyville & District Centennial Centre is seeking a full-time Operations Assistant. Candidates must be friendly, self-motivated, dependable team players who are confident working in a rapid-paced environment. Experience in custodial services, facility operations, ice maintenance or event coordination will be considered an asset, and on-site training will be provided. Shifts will include evenings and weekends.

Tasks include

- coordinating set-up and take-down for events, including assigning tasks and providing direction to part-time staff,
- assisting with daily facility operations, facility conversions and maintenance,
- performing general custodial and cleaning duties,
- assisting with making, maintaining and removing ice,
- providing daily guidance and support to part time Operations staff,
- ensuring the facility is clean, safe and welcoming for staff, visitors and facility users,
- assisting with landscaping, grounds maintenance and snow removal,
- completing operational checklists, reports and other required documentation,
- other duties as required.





Our ideal candidate must enjoy working with the public and be comfortable providing direction and support to coworkers. Candidates must have strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, a positive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Operations Assistant must be dependable, flexible and able to lead by example while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment. The Operations Assistant must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Each position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
