Guide rail project design delivery with Stantec, coordinating technical quality, constructability, and interfaces across multidisciplinary transportation teams. The primary location is Markham.

This Senior Design Manager assignment supports large-scale transit and rail projects for major public agencies and contractor partners. You will oversee preliminary engineering, detailed design, construction support, and handover. Design-build, progressive design-build, and collaborative contracts form part of the stated project workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate track, alignment, civil, structures, stations, and systems design
- Define team roles, resources, deliverables, and design management requirements
- Manage contractor interfaces, requirements registers, reviews, and owner comments
- Support constructability, staging, value engineering,



and optimization activities
- Manage changes, RFIs, submittals, non-conformance reports, and handover records

Requirements:

- 10+ years’ progressive transportation infrastructure design experience
- Experience leading large transit, rail, or highway projects
- Design leadership experience on design-build, P3, or alliance projects
- Experience with BIM, ProjectWise, document control, or scheduling software
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
