Lead government contracting advice for Softchoice’s Canadian public sector customers from the company’s legal department in Ottawa, Ontario.

As Associate General Counsel, you will report directly to the Chief Counsel – Public Sector. Your focus includes outbound licensing, sales transactions, and revenue agreements involving Canadian public sector customers. Success requires experience with Canadian public sector law, contracting compliance, executive advice, and complex transaction judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive strategic public sector transactions and revenue agreements
- Balance commercial objectives with procurement and risk considerations
- Advise executives regarding government contracting matters




- Develop contracting policies and deliver employee training
- Manage pre-litigation inquiries and legal disputes

Requirements:

- Juris Doctor or equivalent from a reputable law school
- Minimum seven to ten years’ progressive related experience
- Required Canadian public sector legal experience
- Admission to practice in at least one Canadian jurisdiction
- Eligibility for Reliability Status or higher preferred
