This full time Category Manager, Hardlines role oversees private label, national brands, and Seasonal programs across Pet Valu’s retail business. You will manage category P&L; performance, inventory productivity, promotional effectiveness, and market share opportunities. Success requires strong analytics, customer insight, planning, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage category P&L;, gross margin, inventory turns, and vendor funding
- Build differentiated national brand, exclusive, and private label assortments
- Develop pricing, promotional, and seasonal business plans
- Identify opportunities through customer, market, sales,



and inventory analysis
- Drive omnichannel alignment across retail and digital channels

Requirements:

- Seven or more years of progressive retail merchandising or buying experience
- Proven success improving sales, margins, inventory productivity, and market share
- Experience leading category reviews and seasonal planning
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills
- Experience partnering with Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Ecommerce
