The role owns technical direction and delivery for integrations connecting Workday with enterprise systems, and will build the team’s capabilities in automation, low-code development, and AI-enabled solutions. You will set architecture and engineering standards, lead and develop engineers, oversee capacity and delivery, and partner with People Technology leaders and business stakeholders on roadmaps and investment decisions.

The role is primarily focused on technical leadership, people development, and delivery oversight, with hands-on work as appropriate. What You’ll Do - Act as engineering architect and design authority for Workday and connected enterprise systems.

- Set technical standards and make architecture decisions that account for scalability, security, maintainability, and delivery.
- Expand the team’s remit beyond integrations into automation, low-code, and AI engineering.
- Advance use of Workday Orchestrate, Extend, Build, and other platform capabilities.
- Identify AI and automation opportunities and promote responsible, secure AI-assisted engineering practices.
- Lead, coach, and performance-manage engineers; plan team capacity and capability development.




- Partner with People Technology leadership and stakeholders on roadmaps, priorities, and investment decisions.
- Oversee technical debt, dependencies, risks, and operational resilience. What You’ll Bring - Typically 8–12+ years of experience in integrations, systems engineering, software engineering, or a related technical field.
- Deep hands‑on experience with Workday integrations and its technical ecosystem.
- Knowledge of APIs, middleware, and enterprise integration platforms and architecture.
- Experience as a technical architect, design authority, or senior engineering lead, including developing technical specialists.
- Knowledge of Workday Orchestrate, Extend, and Build, or ability to develop expertise in these capabilities.
- Experience with automation, AI-assisted development, or AI-enabled enterprise solutions.
- Solid stakeholder and business‑partnering experience; relevant degree or equivalent practical experience and fluency in English.

Work Arrangement and Compensation Flexible hybrid work in Toronto, with a minimum of two days per week in the office; most teams are in the office two to three days per week. The stated pay range is $116,130–$126,130 CAD.
