Monitor Hootsuite’s corporate and customer-facing systems using SIEM, EDR, IDS, and other security tools in a hybrid Vancouver or Toronto position. Respond to alerts and threats.

This Junior SOC Analyst role supports day-to-day security operations and incident response at Hootsuite. You will investigate alerts, assist with containment, and execute technical runbooks. The work calls for network protocols, web security, operating systems, and security-product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support security monitoring and response across systems
- Analyze, escalate, and respond to security alerts
- Use SIEM, IDS, antivirus, EDR, WAF, and DLP tools
- Support Security Incident Response Teams during threat containment
- Perform incident analysis and triage activities

Requirements:

- One to two years as a security or SOC analyst
- Understanding of SMTP, HTTP, SSL/TLS, DNS, FTP, and SSH
- Experience with SIEM, next-generation antivirus, firewalls, or Amazon Services
- Fundamental knowledge of Mac OS, Windows, and Linux
- Understanding of web and mobile application vulnerabilities, including OWASP Top 10
