Risk evaluation and profitable business development define this hybrid Underwriter II role with Intact in Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta.

You will underwrite Commercial Auto risks while supporting regional service, production, and profitability goals. This position requires current knowledge of Commercial Underwriting Guides, sound business judgment, and the ability to provide tailored broker solutions. You will also contribute to process improvements and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze requests for quotes, renewals, and policy changes
- Evaluate moderate to complex insurance risks
- Authorize new business, renewals, and endorsements
- Develop and retain profitable broker business relationships
- Support regional underwriting service and profitability levels

Requirements:

- Three years of Commercial Lines Auto experience required
- Current understanding of relevant underwriting guides
- Robust business savvy and negotiating skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and computer tools
