Apply AI/ML expertise to model validation at TD in Toronto, covering Transformers, Natural Language Processing, Foundation Models, and explainability.

This Applied Machine Learning Scientist I position reports to a Senior Applied Machine Learning Scientist. You will validate and review Deep Learning models within TD Model Validation’s AI/ML team. The role combines research, methodology development, statistical testing, and communication across internal partners including AI2, Layer6, P&T;, and FCRM.

Key Responsibilities:

- Validate AI/ML models across banking use cases
- Evaluate Foundation Models and Tabular Deep Learning
- Track publications, metrics, datasets, and technology stacks
- Implement benchmark models when applicable
- Share technical findings and recommendations

Requirements:

- Advanced degree in computer science or related field
- Knowledge of Deep Learning and up-to-date Natural Language Processing
- Experience with Transformers, Diffusion, and Bagging methods
- Familiarity with Azure Databricks or Azure ML Studio
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
