CareRx seeks a licensed Pharmacist to investigate medication incidents and strengthen corrective actions across long-term care pharmacy services. You will evaluate root causes, communicate recommendations, oversee medication review compliance, and train registered staff. Success requires critical thinking, adaptable listening, effective planning, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate medication incident reports and determine root causes
- Recommend corrective actions addressing medication safety concerns
- Develop prevention plans with the Assistant Pharmacy Manager
- Communicate incident recommendations to facility stakeholders
- Train registered staff on compliant, consistent service delivery
Requirements:
- Licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC
- Critical thought processes and appropriate prioritization skills
- Self-directed approach requiring minimal supervision
- Adaptability to changes in the job workplace
- Previous long-term pharmacy experience is an asset
