Apply high-voltage transmission design expertise to WSP projects supporting reliable, secure, and sustainable energy across Western Canada.

This intermediate engineering position focuses on overhead High Voltage and Extra High Voltage transmission lines, including route selection, structure spotting, and analysis. You will prepare construction bid packages, evaluate technical options, and apply construction standards for high-voltage line work. The role may be based in any Western Canada office, with preference for Edmonton.

Key Responsibilities:

- Evaluate transmission routes, technical options, and design criteria
- Design overhead High Voltage and Extra High Voltage lines
- Develop construction bid packages and design deliverables




- Apply high-voltage line construction standards
- Identify challenges and implement solutions for project success

Requirements:

- Five to ten years of transmission design experience
- Experience with route selection and line structure spotting
- Experience with structure design and analysis
- Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-Lite
- Qualified Engineering license and accredited engineering degree
