Bring advanced Excel and financial analysis skills to capital planning and Municipal Accommodation Tax administration in The Blue Mountains.

This Financial Analyst supports the Town’s capital assets, infrastructure planning, and MAT program. Reporting to the Supervisor of Accounting & Budgets, the position monitors project expenditures, prepares reconciliations, and maintains financial records. You will analyze revenues, support legislative compliance, and provide technical assistance across departments. The work also includes reports and presentations for management and Council.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor capital project expenditures and prepare financial analyses
- Assist with capital budgets, valuations, amortization, and year-end records
- Maintain accommodation provider inventories and reporting schedules




- Reconcile MAT records with the General Ledger monthly
- Research legislation, trends, and municipal revenue administration practices

Requirements:

- Relevant university degree or three-year diploma
- Five years of related municipal finance or analysis experience
- Experience with capital reporting, infrastructure planning, or revenue administration
- Knowledge of Municipal Act and Ontario asset management requirements
- Ability to prepare recommendations and documentation for Council
