Shape liturgical formation across the Diocese of Hamilton through workshops, retreats, and updated requirements for clergy and lay ministers.

As Director of Liturgy, you will provide ministry formation for Ministers of the Word, Communion, Music, and Children’s Liturgy Leaders. Reporting to the Chancellor, you will coordinate diocesan celebrations, prepare liturgies, and offer expertise on liturgical issues. Hamilton is the work base, with travel throughout the Diocese and some evening and weekend hours required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver formation opportunities through workshops and retreats
- Coordinate clergy and lay minister liturgical workshops
- Prepare and coordinate diocesan liturgical celebrations




- Prepare liturgies for schools and parishes as required
- Provide new liturgical books and resources as needed

Requirements:

- Approved certification or graduate degree in liturgical studies
- Master of Theological Studies, M.Div., or theology master’s degree
- Preferred five-year background in liturgical ministry
- Robust sacred music background highly beneficial
- Full communion with the Roman Catholic Church required
