Support Valard Construction’s Substations group in Calgary through project accounting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Travel to Canadian project sites may reach 50%.

This experienced Project Controller serves as a financial subject matter expert for Project Managers and business unit leaders. The position manages project budgets, contract values, job-level costs, risks, cash reporting, and financial lifecycle reporting. It also supports month-end processes and audit records.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze JD Edwards job reports and indirect project costs
- Revise forecasts through job cost and project review meetings
- Monitor cash, billings, receivables, payables, and holdbacks
- Lead monthly reviews and report findings to executives




- Train Project Managers on financial processes and tools

Requirements:

- Five years of progressive experience in construction
- Proven project forecasting, budgeting, and lifecycle reporting ability
- Solid construction revenue recognition knowledge
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capability
- CPA designation or active progress toward designation preferred
