Deliver immunization and clinical services as a Public Health Nurse in Waterloo, applying nursing assessment and health counselling skills. The assignment is temporary full time.

Working within the Region of Waterloo’s Public Health and Paramedic Services, you will support Vaccine Preventable Diseases and related programs. Provide nursing care, complete intake assessments, educate clients, review results, and contribute to immunization campaigns, outbreak control, and emergency responses. Services may include birth control, pregnancy prevention counselling, and healthy sexuality counselling.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide immunizations and vaccine-related clinical services
- Complete screening, intake assessments, and documentation
- Review records and laboratory results




- Counsel clients about pregnancy prevention and healthy sexuality
- Support adverse immunization event and outbreak responses

Requirements:

- Registered Nurse registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Baccalaureate degree with public health preparation
- Current CPR certification, immunization status, and Hepatitis B immunity
- Knowledge of vaccination indications, contraindications, and adverse reactions
- Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours
