Build meaningful community connections for CBC/Radio-Canada through event engagement, audience outreach, and compelling writing across Atlantic Canada and Quebec.

This Communications Officer supports CBC Atlantic’s Marketing, Communications and Brand team. The hybrid position includes Halifax station presence and travel to community events and locations. You will help connect with recent, younger, and diverse audiences while supporting programming across digital, radio, and television platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support virtual and in-person community engagement activities
- Work with partners and editorial colleagues on outreach initiatives
- Develop chat notes and community page posts
- Create and edit content for established and emerging platforms




- Coordinate newsletters, tours, and stakeholder communications

Requirements:

- Three or more years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated events experience and proven writing experience
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects under deadline pressure
- English reading, speaking, and writing at advanced level

Use event experience, audience insight, and clear writing to strengthen CBC relationships with communities and partners throughout the region.
