This Frontend JavaScript Developer Lead supports CIBC’s Digital Web Development team and its enterprise-scale web projects. You will lead technical design, development, integration, and strategic planning for front-end applications involving multiple back-end systems. You will also support intermediate and senior developers through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and problem solving. The position is based at Toronto-81 Bay, with one to three days in office weekly and other days remote.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as the mobile development team lead
- Run code-review sessions with the wider team




- Support and mentor intermediate and senior developers
- Lead projects involving backend systems and new technology
- Enhance existing applications through technical development

Requirements:

- Five to eight years of experience
- Proven frontend web application development using JavaScript
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical discipline education
