Location: Anson General Hospital, Iroquois Falls, ON & Bingham Memorial Hospital, Matheson, ON The Physiotherapist provides clinical rehabilitation services to inpatients, outpatients, and long-term care residents, supporting mobility, function, and overall quality of life. This position reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and contributes to safe, patient-centered care in inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care settings.

Operating in a full-time, non-union capacity, the position can be based at either hospital as it is a shared position, with 3 days a week at Anson General Hospital (AGH), and 2 days a week at Bingham Memorial Hospital (BMH). There is operational flexibility in scheduling, based on workload. Travel between sites is paid via the Expense Reimbursement policy.

The Physiotherapist is licensed in Ontario and works within a multidisciplinary team to deliver care in acute (AGH/BMH), outpatient (bundled care only AGH/BMH), and long-term care (BMH).

Responsibilities include delegating tasks to and supervising the Physiotherapist Assistants (PTAs) as deemed appropriate by the Physiotherapist, coordinating with internal and external providers, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide direct physiotherapy assessment and treatment and supervise the Physiotherapist Assistants
- Lead the coordination and integration of rehabilitation services across inpatient, outpatient, and LTC settings
- Work within the scope of practice outlined by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Collaborate with external providers such as Ontario Health at Home and community therapists when necessary

Qualifications

- Master of Science in Physical Therapy (or equivalent)
- Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario




- Rostered in oxygen titration preferred
- French language skills preferred
- Assistive Devices Program Authorizer status considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check

Compensation

- Hourly Wage: $54.20 – $59.65 (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
- Signing Bonus: $5,000.00

Incentives and Programs This position is eligible for the Rehabilitation Professionals Incentive Grant Program through the Ontario Ministry of Health. Eligible Physiotherapists can receive up to $15,000 over a three-year period for working in a Northern Ontario hospital such as Anson General Hospital and Bingham Memorial Hospital.
