We’re looking for a detail-oriented SQL Developer to help extract, transform, validate, and organize data from our custom applications. This person will prepare data for use in Excel templates, identify and investigate duplicate records, and help ensure data is accurate, consistent, and ready for business use. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with relational databases and Excel, and can translate data requests into reliable, repeatable extracts.

Key Responsibilities:

· Write and maintain SQL queries to extract data from tables in our custom applications.

· Transform, clean, join, and format data to meet business and reporting requirements.

· Load extracted data into established Excel templates while preserving their structure and formatting.

· Compare data across files and sources to identify duplicates, missing information, and inconsistencies.

· Use Excel tools such as formulas, filters, lookups, and Power Query to validate and manage data.

· Investigate discrepancies and work with business users to clarify requirements and resolve data issues.

· Document query logic, data definitions, extraction steps, and known data limitations.

· Improve recurring extracts and spreadsheet processes so they are accurate, efficient, and repeatable.

· Follow applicable standards for data quality, access, confidentiality, and handling.

Required Qualifications:

· Experience writing SQL queries for relational databases.

· Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, formulas, filters, and data validation.

· Experience extracting, transforming, and reconciling data from multiple tables or sources.

· Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot duplicates, gaps, and inconsistencies.





· Ability to understand business requests and turn them into clear data requirements.

· Transparent communication skills and the ability to explain findings to technical and nontechnical colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with Excel Power Query, pivot tables, or other tools for repeatable data preparation.

· Experience working with custom-built applications or unfamiliar database schemas.

· Familiarity with data quality checks, ETL processes, and documenting recurring workflows.

· Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or another relational database.

· Basic knowledge of scripting or automation, such as VBA or Python.

What Success Looks Like

· Requested extracts are delivered accurately and on time.

· Data is loaded into the correct templates with minimal manual rework.

· Duplicate and data-quality issues are clearly identified and communicated.

Recurring processes are documented and become more consistent and efficient.

Must Have for this role:

- Strong Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
- Experience with Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server .

Ability to:

- Develop scripts.
- Write and optimize SQL queries.
- Perform data manipulation and data extraction.
- Support ETL-related activities..
- Handle data quality initiatives.
- Migration of two existing systems into a new platform
- Data cleanup and transformation activities before migration
- Creation and maintenance of data extracts and scripts
- Support for Oracle and Microsoft SQL-based environments

Additional Preferred Skills

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:

o Lookups o Formulas o Data analysis
- Experience extracting data from SharePoint sites (nice-to-have)
- Experience working with large datasets and system migrations
