Support seniors with psychiatric illness as a Psychiatric Aide at Chinook House, providing personal care, safety, and patient comfort. Work collaboratively with nurses and health professionals.

This temporary part time Psychiatric Aide position supports the Seniors Mental Health Program at Chinook House. The program serves individuals generally over 65 with dementia, mood disorders, and thought disorders. You will help patients reach optimal functioning for community integration through routine care and organized activities. The work includes communication, observation, and reporting within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Meet patients' personal care needs and comfort
- Assist nurses with hygiene, nutrition, and mobility
- Support recreation,

- Observe and report patients' mood, health, and well-being
- Maintain effective communication with patients and health professionals

Requirements:

- Completion of Grade 12
- Active registration with the CLHA
- Proof of insurance
- Education and experience combination may be considered
- Availability for days and evenings as scheduled
