The Accounting Technician maintains complete financial records within GMS’s Finance department. Responsibilities include accounts payable, fixed assets, financial reporting, investment portfolio updates, and closing activities. The role also supports audits, budgets, procedures, and accounting process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare journal entries according to accounting policies
- Reconcile general ledger and vendor accounts
- Manage accounts payable authorization, accuracy, and timeliness
- Generate trial balances and financial statements
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing

Requirements:

- Completion of a two-year accounting diploma
- Minimum two years of accounting work experience
- Proficiency with accounting software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel formulas and pivot tables
- Knowledge of IFRS or internal controls is an asset
