Eastern Health seeks an Advanced Care Paramedic for a permanent full-time position at Dr. W.H. Newhook Health Centre. The successful applicant responds to emergency and routine calls, works within scope, and supports person-and family-centered care. Depending on applicants, a Primary Care Paramedic or Ambulance Operator/Attendant may temporarily fill the position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide independent advanced medical care at pre-hospital scenes
- Operate ambulances for emergency and routine responses
- Conduct examinations, assessments, tests, and advanced interventions
- Promote patient, worker, and team safety




- Mentor students and new employees during placements

Requirements:

- Approved Advanced Care Paramedic program graduation
- Current NL Paramedicine Regulation registration as an ACP
- Valid Newfoundland and Labrador Class 4 driver’s license
- Current Basic Life Support and ACLS certifications
- Physical capability testing certificate completed within three months

Support Eastern Zone paramedicine through advanced assessment, emergency intervention, ambulance operation, and skilled patient-centered care.
