Serve Capilano University students and faculty in North Vancouver through borrower services, circulation systems, and organized collection support. This is casual, fixed-term part time work.

As a Library Assistant, you will check materials in and out, register users, and answer general inquiries. You will maintain library collections through shelving, filing, sorting, and shelf reading. The position also involves records, holds, fees, signage, and policy support.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform check-out and check-in using online circulation systems
- Create, verify, and modify patron and item records
- Answer inquiries and resolve or refer circulation problems
- Sort, clean, file, and shelve library materials
- Monitor conduct and complete opening and closing duties

Requirements:

- Completion of Grade 12
- Enrollment in a Library Technician program
- At least one completed program semester
- Working knowledge of Integrated Library Systems and classification
- Ability to provide effective customer service
