Apply molecular testing expertise as a Clinical Genetics Technologist at QEII’s MacKenzie Building in Central Zone. Analyze specimens supporting genetic disorder diagnosis.

This permanent full time Clinical Genetics Technologist position supports PLM Hem-Molecular Biology. You will perform, coordinate, and troubleshoot complex molecular assays using established methodologies and quality assurance techniques. The work includes interpreting outcomes before presenting results to Scientists or Pathologists.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform and troubleshoot complex molecular tests and assays
- Analyze blood, bone marrow, fluids, and tissue specimens
- Coordinate workflow, inventory control, and assay improvements
- Maintain records, databases,



and laboratory operations
- Train staff, students, and residents while assisting technologists

Requirements:

- Graduate from an accredited Clinical Genetics diploma program
- Active Nova Scotia Regulator licensure required
- Professional Liability Insurance proof required
- Clinical Genetic Technologist experience considered an asset
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills required
