Perform medical laboratory testing at Placentia Health Centre across Biochemistry, Hematology/Coagulation, and Transfusion Medicine. This temporary full-time position includes rotating shifts and standby.

As a Laboratory Technologist I, you will work in a core lab setting within the Eastern Rural Zone. The position covers automated and manual specimen testing, Blood Collection/Specimen Procurement, report review, data entry, and instrument maintenance. The assignment continues until July 30, 2027, with possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform automated and manual testing on various specimens
- Rotate through Biochemistry and Hematology/Coagulation services
- Support Transfusion Medicine and Blood Collection/Specimen Procurement
- Identify, handle, sort,



and store specimens properly
- Review patient reports, enter data, and maintain instruments

Requirements:

- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or relevant degree
- Graduation from a recognized accredited program
- Successful applicable national Medical Laboratory Technologist examination
- Current continuing registration with NL Council of Health Professionals
- Satisfactory record of work performance
