Make a direct animal welfare contribution with the Ottawa Humane Society as a Registered Veterinary Technician supporting clinic care. This temporary contract lasts 12 months.

This Registered Veterinary Technician position helps maintain the emotional and physical health of Ottawa Humane Society and owned animals. You will assist veterinarians, deliver treatments, complete assessments, and manage clinical documentation. The role also includes training and support for staff, students, placements, and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support veterinarians during clinic procedures and patient care
- Assess animals medically and generally
- Administer prescribed treatments and medical interventions
- Prepare accurate reports, forms, and computerized files
- Train and support new staff, students, and volunteers

Requirements:

- Recognized college Veterinary Technician diploma
- Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians registration
- At least one year of clinical experience
- Dental examination and cleaning experience
- Robust teamwork and customer service abilities
