This Principal Design Engineer serves as lead on assigned projects and oversees a specific technical area. You provide administrative processes, engineering direction, and accurate project execution throughout all phases. The work includes material forecasting, permitting, subcontracting, calculations, equipment specification, and independent recommendations aligned with project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead engineering assignments of varying complexity on projects

Review schedules, progress reports, and workforce forecasts

Participate in procurement, permitting, and subcontracting activities





Analyze problems and recommend solutions independently

Provide supervision, mentoring, appraisal input, and counseling

Requirements

Four-year accredited engineering degree or equivalent

Sixteen years of work-related engineering experience

Effective communication with management, clients, vendors, and contractors

Ability to apply applicable statutes and guidelines

Experience managing large projects and control-level schedules
