This Privacy Operations

Specialist reports to the Manager, Privacy Operations, supporting privacy compliance across Aviso. You will translate regulatory obligations into practical procedures, controls, workflows, and operating practices. The position manages breaches, DSARs, complaints, inquiries, PIAs, TIAs, vendor reviews, and remediation.

Stakeholder engagement remains central, including guidance for business, technology, legal, compliance, security, and data governance teams. You will also monitor emerging risks, maintain reporting, and support regulatory submissions.

Key Responsibilities

- Translate privacy obligations into practical processes, procedures, and controls
- Investigate breaches and coordinate regulatory reporting, remediation, and corrective action




- Review initiatives, vendors, technologies, and transfers for privacy risks
- Track outstanding risks, remediation plans, and operational effectiveness
- Escalate complex matters and emerging risks to management Requirements:
- Five or more years’ operational privacy, compliance, risk, or legal operations experience
- Solid knowledge of PIPEDA, Bill C-36, Law 25, and provincial laws
- Experience with PIAs, TIAs, vendor reviews, DSARs, and breach management
- Ability to explain complex privacy concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- IAPP certification preferred; financial services experience preferred Bring privacy compliance, risk investigation, and regulatory knowledge to Aviso Wealth’s evolving operational privacy framework and controls.
