As Supervisor, Works Operations, you will manage winter maintenance alongside road infrastructure, drainage, water resources, and leaf collection activities. Reporting to the Manager, Works Operations, you will schedule resources, monitor service delivery, and respond to public, emergency, and departmental requests. This temporary full time assignment runs five months from November to April.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee winter road patrols, sanding, salting, plowing, and clearing
- Coordinate crews and contractors according to service standards
- Respond to public inquiries, complaints, and service requests
- Investigate spills and accidents and complete required documentation




- Work rotating shifts and assume overnight and weekend on-call duties

Requirements:

- Valid unrestricted Ontario Class DZ driver's licence
- Education in civil or construction technology, or Certified Roads Supervisor designation
- Knowledge of municipal public works and roads maintenance operations
- Ability to manage pressure, conflict, staffing issues, and deadlines
- Knowledge of applicable safety, traffic, environmental, and legal requirements
