Shape Q Engineering’s architectural practice in Richmond Hill through quality control, team leadership, and OAA-compliant professional oversight. The position is full-time.

This Architectural Department Lead role combines architectural operations with department growth and project delivery. You will establish standards, improve workflows, mentor designers and technologists, and coordinate requirements with structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil teams. Residential and commercial work remains central, alongside industrial, institutional, municipal, and infrastructure assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Establish architectural standards, templates, and quality checklists
- Review team workload, assignments, priorities, and deliverables
- Provide technical guidance on codes and municipal requirements




- Oversee permit revisions and municipal comment responses
- Coordinate project resources, deadlines, and responsibilities

Requirements:

- Active OAA membership and good standing
- Minimum 10 years of Ontario architectural experience
- Experience supervising architectural designers or technologists
- Strong project coordination and quality-control capabilities
- Excellent communication and cooperative leadership skills
