Build Betstamp’s trading data infrastructure in Toronto with Go, ClickHouse, Redis Streams, and hands-on technical leadership.

This Staff Engineer and Tech Lead position focuses on the platform behind real-time pricing and market data. You will work across a Go monorepo, more than 100 source integrations, Redis Streams, ClickHouse, APIs, and the web application. Your work supports line movement, edge, and expected value delivered with sub-second refresh. You will balance architecture decisions, regular coding, mentoring, planning, and production ownership. AI tools are expected to strengthen engineering output while preserving correctness, security, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver code across integrations, services, APIs, and web applications
- Decide which systems should be built, improved, or retired




- Handle migrations, incidents, and changes requiring senior judgment
- Improve engineering output through responsible AI tool use
- Communicate scope, timelines, and tradeoffs to stakeholders

Requirements:

- Experience leading technical direction while remaining hands-on
- Knowledge of Go, PostgreSQL, and ClickHouse
- Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, and Docker
- Understanding of production reliability and incident response
- Ability to mentor engineers and review code
