Role Overview

We are expanding our operations team and creating a dedicated Project Coordinator / Technical Order Specialist role to lead project intake and order execution for our non-builder and retail commercial accounts.

In this position, you will serve as the crucial operational bridge between Sales, CAD Programming, Accounting, and the customer. You will be responsible for conducting rigorous technical reviews of incoming orders against initial quotes, auditing appliance and site specifications, catching fabrication exceptions early, and building complete Work Orders in Moraware Systemize.

This role is ideal for an experienced countertop professional, digital templater, or CAD/CAM programmer (e.g., Alphacam, Slabsmith) looking to leverage their technical fabrication expertise to optimize order intake workflows and drive production accuracy before stone hits the saw.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Order Audit & Validation

- Receive incoming non-builder and retail project packages from the Sales team.
- Conduct line-by-line technical audits of sales quotes against job documentation, flagging inconsistencies in material species/brands, dimensions, edge profiles, backsplashes, and cutout types.
- Generate and route explicit Inconsistency Reports to Sales representatives for quick resolution prior to production release.
- Confirm customer deposit and payment terms are fully satisfied per company policy.

2. Technical Data Collection & Fabrication Verification

- Collect, verify, and document technical specifications for all job components (sinks,



faucets, cooktops, ranges, hood fans, wall cladding, and waterfall edges).
- Identify technical constraints and/or product and process limitations and site exceptions early

3. Work Order Preparation & System Entry

- Create, compile, and manage accurate Work Orders (WOs) in Moraware Systemize.
- Attach all relevant technical specs, appliance cut sheets, DXF files, and site photos directly to the Moraware Job Details record.
- Maintain clean job status updates to ensure visibility across shop and field teams.

4. Template, Scope, & Material Planning

- Schedule laser templating appointments with customers and site managers in conjunction with our project scheduler.
- Review digital DXF/laser template drawings for scope variances against initial estimates. Edit templates where required.
- Prepare material purchase lists based on verified yield requirements.
- Coordinate with Estimating to issue revised quotes/change orders when template measurements differ from initial sales quotes, securing customer approval prior to production release.

5. Production Handoff & Customer Approvals

- Release finalized, fully vetted Work Orders to CAD/CAM Programming (Alphacam) and Accounting.
- Coordinate visual slab layout mapping and send digital layouts to customers for final aesthetic/vein-matching sign-off before cutting.
- Lock in installation dates with customers and schedule field installation crews in Moraware.

Qualifications & Skills

- Industry Experience:



Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in custom stone countertop fabrication, digital templating, or countertop CAD/CAM programming.
- Technical & Software Aptitude: Experience with CAD/CAM software (Alphacam, Slabsmith, or digital DXF manipulation) and/or Moraware Systemize (or equivalent stone industry ERP software) is strongly preferred.
- Drawing & Spec Analysis: Proven ability to read architectural drawings, shop prints, DXF template files, and appliance cut sheets to catch fabrication exceptions, seam placements, radius requirements, overhangs, and cutouts before a slab reaches the shop floor.
- Detail-Oriented & Process-Driven: Obsessive attention to detail with a knack for spotting discrepancies between sales quotes, field templates, and shop capabilities.
- Communication: Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with sales reps, CAD programmers, accounting, and end customers.
- Problem Solver: Proactive mindset with a desire to evaluate existing processes, eliminate operational gaps, and streamline shop workflows.

Pay: $60,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
