We’re seeking an analytical, commercially minded Buyer / Pricing Specialist to help shape product selection, strengthen pricing strategies, and improve portfolio performance in an industrial or technical business.
This role offers the opportunity to influence which products the business offers, how they are priced, and how they succeed in the market. Working closely with leadership, suppliers, and internal teams, you’ll turn market insights and sales data into practical decisions that support growth.
If your background includes buying, pricing, category management, or inventory analysis—and you enjoy taking ownership of improvements,we’d like to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
Guide product selection: Evaluate existing and potential products based on customer demand, market opportunities, supplier offerings, and profitability.
Strengthen pricing: Develop consistent pricing structures that balance competitiveness with healthy margins.
Turn data into decisions: Analyze sales, costs, margins, competitor pricing, and market trends to recommend improvements.
Collaborate with suppliers and procurement: Assess product opportunities, review cost information, and support new product introductions.
Improve inventory performance: Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or underperforming products and recommend actions.
Shape the product portfolio: Help determine which products to expand, reposition, streamline, or retire.
Support commercial planning: Contribute to an annual product roadmap aligned with business priorities and customer needs.
Help sales teams succeed:
Provide clear product information, positioning, and pricing guidance.
Partner with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, and Finance to put recommendations into action.
What You Bring
Approximately 5–10 years of relevant experience in buying, procurement, pricing, category management, product management, or a related analytical role.
Experience in an industrial, technical, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
Strong analytical skills and confidence working with product costs, pricing, margins, sales data, and performance indicators.
The ability to evaluate product performance and make practical commercial recommendations.
Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with suppliers and internal teams.
Initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to suggest better ways of working.
Availability to work fully onsite in Aurora, ON, with occasional travel within Canada.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with technical products, tools, or inventory optimization.
Familiarity with CRM platforms; Pipedrive experience is an asset.
Bilingual English and French skills—French is an asset, not a requirement.
Candidates with robust buying, pricing, or inventory analysis experience are encouraged to apply, even if their previous title differs.

A 4.5-day workweek
$80,000–$85,000 CAD annual salary
Three weeks of vacation, plus an additional December holiday closure
