Support quality assurance for essential infrastructure materials as a Junior Geotechnical Technician with WSP in Markham, Ontario. Work includes field and laboratory equipment.

You will deliver testing and observations that help project teams confirm material quality and compliance. The position covers soils, concrete, aggregates, and asphalt across commercial, industrial, institutional, and infrastructure work. Use Microsoft Office, recognized procedures, and civil construction knowledge while building expertise and pursuing CCIL concrete certification.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide field quality assurance and quality control testing
- Record samples, data, and timely project results
- Observe construction activities supporting informed project decisions




- Perform concrete tests and asphalt or concrete coring
- Strengthen measurement reliability through equipment calibration

Requirements:

- Diploma in civil or construction engineering technology
- Geotechnical or construction materials testing experience preferred
- Knowledge of civil practices and CSA or ASTM standards
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint proficiency
- Availability for required overtime, weekends, and night shifts
