We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice for Mondays (and possibly Fridays). The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleaning, educating patients on oral health, and assisting in creating a positive dental experience. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology.
Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and treatment plans
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software
- Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and equipment for procedures
- Manage patient scheduling, answer questions, and ensure a positive patient experience
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards
Experience
- Previous experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist is preferred
- Familiarity with Dentrix software is advantageous
- Knowledge of general dentistry procedures is desirable
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills to foster trust and comfort among patients
