Apply ArcGIS and geospatial data skills as a fully remote GIS Analyst supporting Esri Canada’s Community Map of Canada program within Canada.
This entry-level GIS Analyst reports to the Enablement Manager, Community Maps. You will review contributor data, apply standards, resolve submission issues, and support accurate basemap updates. The work includes ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS Online, quality assessment, contributor support, and workflow documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate and review contributor-submitted geospatial data
- Assess foundational and NG9-1-1 dataset quality
- Publish and update contributor data within workflows
- Support contributor onboarding and submission guidance
- Maintain records, documentation, and reference materials
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in GIS, geography, or related field
- Minimum two years using the Esri ArcGIS platform
- Understanding of GIS concepts and geospatial data
- Attention to detail and established data standards
- Python, ArcGIS Notebooks, or Arcade automation experience
Support national basemap production through ArcGIS, quality review, contributor communication, and standardized geospatial data workflows remotely.
