Property claims expertise meets detailed investigation work for a Property Claims Adjuster supporting Kernaghan Adjusters’ principals. Assess damages, determine coverage, and communicate findings clearly.

Reporting to the VP of BC Operations, the Property Claims Adjuster handles property claims through investigation and settlement. The work includes reviewing policy wordings, interviewing claimants and witnesses, examining skilled reports, and navigating claims management systems. Candidates need adjusting experience and solid communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Investigate claims and assess property damage
- Create repair scopes and detailed scene diagrams
- Review policy wordings to determine coverage
- Authorize or deny coverage based on findings
- Negotiate settlements according to principal instructions

Requirements:

- Minimum one year of adjusting experience
- Experience handling property claims
- Insurance Adjuster Level 1 or 2 license eligibility
- CIP designation or progress toward designation
- Strong mathematical, statistical, and problem-solving skills
