Operate forklifts and manage gas materials as a full time temporary Material Handler with FortisBC. Work onsite for six months in British Columbia.

This Material Handler supports FortisBC’s Gas branch through receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping equipment and materials. The full-time temporary assignment requires a high school diploma, BC Class 5 Driver’s License, and material-handling equipment experience. You will also use computerized inventory systems, complete documentation, and apply natural gas materials knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

- Receive, unload, inspect, record, and store materials
- Issue, load, and ship equipment as assigned
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Take inventory and perform housekeeping duties
- Complete minor repairs, assembly, and administrative duties

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current BC Class 5 Driver’s License
- Ability to lift, carry, and place materials
- Computer literacy and accurate data entry skills
- Ability to learn WHMIS and TDG requirements
