Protect Roofr’s CRM platform remotely from Canada through AWS security, vulnerability management, and incident response expertise. Shape secure systems across production environments.

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will strengthen cloud, application, and operational security while owning security infrastructure and detection processes. You will work closely with engineering leadership, DevOps, the CTO, and Roofr’s security guild. This individual-contributor role embeds secure-by-design practices into the SDLC and supports compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Harden AWS security infrastructure, networks, firewalls, VPNs, and WAFs
- Lead vulnerability assessments, prioritization, remediation, and service-level agreements
- Build SIEM and SOAR detection logic for real attack techniques
- Command incidents,



coordinate containment, forensics, eradication, and reviews
- Own IAM hygiene, cloud posture, policies, and compliance evidence

Requirements:

- Five to eight-plus years in security or infrastructure roles
- Hands-on AWS, network security, IAM, VPC, and secrets expertise
- Real incident response experience involving triage, containment, and forensics
- Working knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, Python, or Bash
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience
