Support TD Insurance customers after catastrophic events in Markham through claims adjusting, analytical review, and compassionate advice. This role works 35 hours weekly.

As a Claims Advisor, you will handle Residential and Auto Catastrophe claims for TD Insurance. You will investigate losses, negotiate settlements, review estimates, and support customers through repairs. Solid communication, organization, and customer service skills are central to this work. The department supports customers after fires, hail, tornadoes, and heavy rains.

Key Responsibilities:

- Investigate, negotiate, and settle Residential and Auto Catastrophe claims
- Open claims, arrange appraisals, assign contractors, and finalize settlements
- Review inspection reports and estimates against policy-related damage




- Maintain customer contact about claim status, repairs, and support
- Collaborate with internal partners and external vendors when appropriate

Requirements:

- Two or more years of claims adjusting experience preferred
- Computer literacy; Xactimate and Xactanalys knowledge is an asset
- Excellent communication, empathy, compassion, and customer service skills
- Ability to negotiate win/win outcomes and investigate high-value claims
- Provincial claims licensing may be required
