About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking pharmaceutical company at the forefront of therapeutic innovation, is seeking a highly skilled Pharmaceutical Formulation Scientist to join their research and development team. This is a fully remote position, empowering you to contribute to groundbreaking drug development from your home office. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing novel drug delivery systems and pharmaceutical formulations. This role requires a deep understanding of formulation science, drug-product development, and relevant analytical techniques. Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop innovative pharmaceutical formulations for various dosage forms (e.g., oral, parenteral, topical).
- Optimize existing formulations to enhance stability, bioavailability, and manufacturability.
- Conduct pre-formulation studies, including solubility, stability, and compatibility assessments.
- Utilize various analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, DSC, TGA, particle size analysis) to characterize formulations and raw materials.
- Develop and validate analytical methods for drug product characterization.
- Work closely with process development teams to scale-up formulations from lab to pilot and commercial scale.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in formulation science, drug delivery technologies, and regulatory requirements.




- Prepare detailed technical reports, research summaries, and contribute to regulatory filings.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including medicinal chemistry, analytical development, and regulatory affairs.

Requirements

- Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on formulation development experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven experience in developing various dosage forms and understanding of drug delivery systems.
- Proficiency in formulation development techniques and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of analytical methods for characterization of drug substances and drug products.
- Experience with solid-state characterization techniques is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present scientific data effectively.
- Familiarity with GMP requirements for pharmaceutical development and manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
